Conquering the Cockpit

stinamiles

We finally got the steering console off. Two of the bolts holding it just snapped. Guess we are going to need new ones. The plate underneath is rusted... getting a new one of those as well.

Adam cut into the floor, removed all of the wet wood and it is now replaced with new wood and many layers of fiberglass. She will certainly be strong.

Adam finished the new hatch and it looks great. Can't wait to get that back on the boat.

We are excited to start fairing and priming. Then it will really look a bit more finished.

I continue to work on the teak.

So many projects still to do. But the deck and the cockpit were the biggest and hardest.

Pics are posted.
